the eighth summer signing for West Ham
West Ham United, a member of the Premier League, announced the newest addition to the team’s first-team lineup on Monday.
The most recent athlete ready to showcase his skills at the London Stadium? Charles Paquet.
Links between midfielder Paqueta and the Irons have obviously intensified over the past week.
This comes after David Moyes and company named the Brazilian international as the club’s top target. The player is coming off a season in which he personally assisted 18 goals across all competitions.
And as previously mentioned, Moyes has now firmly secured his target.
West Ham announced Paqueta as their newest summer acquisition late on Thursday night on the club’s social media channels.
The former AC Milan player signed a deal at the London Stadium that runs through the summer of 2027 and includes an option for an additional year.
It is believed that the decision to recruit him cost the West Ham hierarchy an initial sum of around €43 million, with the potential to increase to 60 million should all add-ons be triggered.
Born in Brazil, but now East London is his home.

Paqueta is the eighth summer newcomer in east London, signing a contract with Moyes’ team after Gianluca Scamacca, Nayef Aguerd, Maxwel Cornet, Emerson Palmieri, Thilo Kehrer, Flynn Downes, and Alphonse Areola.
