Official: PETR CECH departs Chelsea when Todd Boehly assumes over.
Following the change in ownership at Stamford Bridge this summer, the club has confirmed that Petr Cech, a former Chelsea goalkeeper and current technical and performance director, will depart the Blues at the end of the month.
After joining Chelsea from Stade Rennais in 2004, Cech spent 11 years between the posts, winning every major championship during that time. And he returned to Chelsea in a management capacity after a brief but ultimately fruitless stint at London rivals Arsenal.
Cech has joined Marina Granovskaia in leaving the club this summer, though, following the acquisition of Todd Boehly, who has taken over for Roman Abramovich as owner of the west London club.
Petr Cech, Technical and Performance Advisor, will leave his role effective 30 June.

Chelsea wrote: According to a formal statement.
“Since his appointment three years ago, Cech has provided advise and assistance on every aspect of football and performance throughout the Club, while fostering linkages between our men’s and Academy sides,” the club said.
It has been a tremendous honour to play this role at Chelsea for the previous three years, Cech said to the crowd. I believe the moment is perfect for me to leave as the Club is now under new management. I’m happy that the Club is currently in a great situation thanks to the new owners, and I have faith in its continued success on and off the field.
Peter is a significant component of the Chelsea family, the new owner Todd Boehly further emphasised. We respect his decision to leave and express our gratitude for his efforts as an advisor, his dedication to the club, and our neighbourhood. We hope the best for him.
