Leeds boss Marsch confirms triple personnel boost before Southampton

Leeds United head coach Jesse Marsch delivered a fitness update on his squad on Thursday.

And the news will almost certainly be welcomed with a collective grin from everyone connected with the club.

Leeds’ Premier League debut last weekend, of course, saw a number of the club’s key players forced to sit out due to injury.

Nonetheless, the Whites eventually triumphed with a 2-1 victory over the Wolves.

Jesse Marsch and company’s prospects of achieving a similar great result this weekend were given a timely boost on Thursday.

This coincides with the return of three players to the matchday squad.

Leeds’ manager recently stated that Adam Forshaw, Liam Cooper, and summer signing Luis Sinisterra had all returned to full training.

All three are expected to be eligible for selection when the Yorkshire side travels to Southampton on Saturday afternoon.

Junior Firpo and Luke Ayling, on the other hand, are still ‘a couple of weeks’ away from returning to the pitch.
