On Monday, information on the amount of financial sacrifice that Premier League team Leicester City would have to make to split ways with manager Brendan Rodgers was made available.

Naturally, rumours about Northern Irishman Rodgers’ future have started to circulate in the media over the past several weeks.

This comes after the former Liverpool manager, who was formerly thought of as one of the most secure managers in the English top-flight, had his status seriously questioned.

In the first few games of the new season, Leicester has had a bit of a nightmare, earning just one point out of a possible 18.

The Foxes now occupy the bottom three spots in the Premier League after such a pitiful haul.

The finger of blame has once again been placed at longtime manager Rodgers after an unsettling 5-2 defeat by Brighton & Hove Albion. Rodgers himself recently criticised the authorities at the King Power Stadium for a lack of investment over the summer.

It’s safe to say that the environment at Leicester is consequently heated before a forthcoming matchup with fellow strugglers Aston Villa.

And, should it ultimately be deemed that the bench for the Foxes has reached the point of no return, it has been revealed how much Rodgers would be entitled to receive compensation for his sacking.

Sami Mokbel of the Daily Mail provided the information, and he suggests that if the tactician’s contract is cancelled early, there will be a sizeable payoff.

The amount in question is £10,000,000.

Leicester’s board will undoubtedly be reluctant to fire Rodgers unless they are practically forced to do so because they appear to be having financial difficulties based on their lack of investment over the summer.
