Harry Winks of Tottenham is a target for Everton.

As they try to bolster a team that almost avoided relegation last season, Everton has indicated interest in signing Harry Winks from Tottenham this summer.

In their penultimate match of the previous campaign, the Toffees defeated Crystal Palace 3-2 to clinch their place in the Premier League for this year. They’ll try to be active this summer in an effort to prevent suffering the same tragedy twice.

When his deal in Lancashire expires at the end of June, Burnley defender James Tarkowski will already be joining the team as a free agent, but many more new players are anticipated.

Harry Winks, a midfielder for Tottenham, may be one of them. The 25-year-old is no longer needed in north London following the signing of Yves Bissouma from Brighton.

During the UEFA Europa Conference League group G match between Tottenham Hotspur and Vitesse at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Tottenham Hotspur Manager Antonio Conte instructs Harry Winks.

According to BBC Sport, who assert that Winks “is keen to restart his career and understands he is unlikely to play the number of games he would like this season,” Winks “is unlikely to play the number of games he would like.”

Tottenham in the Mersey?
If Winks relocates to the north-west of England, he will be reunited with Dele Alli, who travelled there only six months prior.

He will be hoping, though, that his experience will be better than that of his former Tottenham teammate, Alli, who struggled to make an impact between his arrival at Goodison Park and the end of the season.

In just 329 minutes under Lampard, he failed to score or provide an assist, furthering the downward trajectory of his career.

Winks and Alli both have high expectations for this season in order to restart their respective careers.
