Future Update on Cristiano Ronaldo from a Transfer Expert
On Sunday, a new update on Cristiano Ronaldo’s future was given.
It has become evident over the past few weeks that Cristiano Ronaldo wants out of Manchester United.
Ronaldo reportedly wanted to leave Old Trafford because the Red Devils failed to qualify for the Champions League last season and struggled in the transfer market.
The striker did not show up for preseason practise when he was supposed to, and he did not go on United’s US trip with the rest of the team.
The Manchester giants are now in a bit of a pickle because they only now have Anthony Martial, a senior centre striker, on their roster.
Furthermore, if CR7 leaves, United does not seem to be looking for a replacement, which raises the possibility that they would enter 2022–2023 with just one striker.
As previously mentioned, Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on Cristiano Ronaldo’s future.
However, United is not overjoyed because the team is still awaiting responses from Ronaldo.
“Sporting Lisbon is not involved in anything; this report was false. For the past 20 days, the scenario has virtually remained the same: Cristiano wants to leave, and Erik ten Hag is waiting to speak with him in an effort to change his decision,” Romano said.
Manchester United is awaiting Cristiano’s responses to learn when he may resume training, but Jorge Mendes is looking for solutions. Atletico Madrid, Bayern Munich, and Chelsea have all been contacted, but nothing has changed as of yet.
And it appears that Man United will have to begin the Premier League season with just one striker with less than two weeks until the new competition begins.
