CHELSEA AND MAN CITY START CONVERSATIONS ABOUT DOUBLE TRANSFER SWOOP

According to the Telegraph, Chelsea has made a formal attempt to purchase Raheem Sterling and Nathan Ake from Manchester City. Todd Boehly, the club’s new owner, reportedly made contact with Chelsea’s Premier League opponents on Monday. Sterling has also spoken with Thomas Tuchel, the manager of the Blues, about how he would fit in at Stamford Bridge. While Ake would be happy to return to Chelsea, the club he first joined as a 15-year-old in 2011, the England international would be open to transferring to the west London club. As additional objectives in addition to Sterling, Chelsea is also keeping an eye on Raphinha, Richarlison, and Ousmane Dembele.

DE LIGT APPELLES CHELSEA TO MOVE
According to the Mirror, Chelsea defender Matthijs de Ligt intends to push for a transfer this summer. The Netherlands international is reportedly a “big admirer” of Blues manager Thomas Tuchel, and Juve may be willing to waive his £100-million release clause. The Serie A club may sell De Ligt, 22, for roughly £70 million this summer, according to The Mirror, motivated by the chance to get the 22-year-£200,000-per-week old’s contract off their books. Chelsea is also interested in signing Jules Kounde, a centre defender for Sevilla.

AJAX SEEK £70 MILLION FOR ANTONY
Ajax has set a prohibitive asking price for Brazilian winger Antony, who Manchester United is pursuing in the summer transfer window. According to The Star, Ajax has warned United that “the fee is not negotiable” and is demanding a staggering £70 million for former boss Erik ten Hag to work with Antony again at Old Trafford. After failing to recruit Ajax defender Jurrien Timber and being forced to wait for Christian Eriksen to make a decision, Ten Hag is reportedly “frustrated” with the club’s summer business.

WHO WILL GO TO ARSENAL WITH JESUS?
After signing Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City for £45 million, Arsenal is prepared to continue their summer shopping spree. The Mirror reports that the Gunners would make bids for Ajax defender Lisandro Martinez and Leeds United winger Raphinha in addition to the expected this week announcement of the purchase of Jesus. Youri Tielemans, a midfielder for Leicester City, may want to leave the King Power Stadium this summer. Arsenal has a long-term interest in him.
